Check In and Chill Out!
Today marks the middle of Schoolies week celebrations and the Schoolies Hub will tonight transform the Surfers Paradise beach into an outdoor cinema.
‘Chill Out Night’, an initiative started by the Queensland Government, provides school leavers with an opportunity to take a break from partying and chill out.
School leavers will be entertained tonight with a screening of Pitch Perfect 2 and Avengers - Age of Ultron.
Chris George, Red Frogs National Schoolies Coordinator, is encouraging school leavers to take the chance to relax midway through the Schoolies celebrations.
“Three nights of dancing, partying and living in close quarters with each other can take its toll on young people. We encourage schoolies to make the most of chill out night and head down to the beach cinema,” he said.
“The schoolies have been away from their parent’s now for a couple of days so it’s also a good idea to check in and let them know they’re ok.” he said.
Schoolies can get in touch with Red Frogs 24/7 via the hotline number 1300 557 123 or by downloading the Red Frogs App.
Red Frogs is a Chaplaincy support network, providing direct relief to school-leavers during Schoolies week celebrations around Australia, Bali and Fiji.
